Bullhead City Animal Resource Center - BARC
Our Mission
At the Bullhead City Animal Resource Center (BARC), our mission is to rescue the mistreated, save the injured, and love the abandoned. We are dedicated to ensuring every animal in our care receives the compassion and support they deserve on their journey to a forever home.
Our Commitment to Our Community
BARC serves as the city’s central hub for animal resources, operating out of our modern, 27,353-square-foot facility on Miracle Mile. Formerly the Mohave Valley Daily News building, this space was reimagined to provide a safe, caring environment for lost, stray, or surrendered animals. As a proudly no-kill facility and a network partner with Best Friends Animal Society, we are committed to the health and welfare of our local pet population.
Providing Exceptional Care
We take in over 1,800 animals each year, ranging from dogs and cats to other small companions, and we work tirelessly to ensure they are treated humanely. Our facility features enhanced kennels, cat condos, and dedicated viewing areas to help our residents feel comfortable while they wait for their new families. Our team is focused on reuniting lost pets with their owners and providing essential resources like vaccination clinics and spay/neuter support to promote responsible ownership.
Building Lifelong Friendships
Adopting a pet is a joyful partnership, and our caring staff is here to help you find the perfect match for your home and lifestyle. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance, and we take great pride in helping our residents find the love they need. Whether you are looking for a playful companion or a gentle friend, we are here to support you throughout the process.
