Animal League of Green Valley
A Home for Every Pet
The Animal League of Green Valley (TALGV) is dedicated to providing compassionate care, medical support, and adoption opportunities for needy and homeless cats and dogs in Green Valley and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to ensure every pet finds a place to call home through our no-kill shelter and community-focused programs.
Our History and Dedication
Since our incorporation in 1984, we have remained a private, donation-funded, 501(c)(3) organization driven entirely by volunteer efforts. From our early days operating out of private homes to the establishment of our dedicated facility at 1600 West Duval Mine Road in 2001, our growth reflects the generosity of our community. Over the years, we have expanded our capacity to provide comprehensive care for thousands of animals in need.
Providing Compassionate Care
Our facility functions as an all-volunteer, no-kill shelter where every animal receives a full medical check-up, vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter services upon arrival. We believe in high standards of animal welfare, which is why our dogs participate in daily play groups and exercise, while both cats and dogs receive consistent socialization and grooming. We operate with the support of over 400 dedicated volunteers who ensure our residents are nurtured until they find their perfect match.
Partnering for Life
Adoption is a joyful commitment, and our team is here to support you in finding a loving, qualified companion to join your family. By focusing on thoughtful matches and providing resources like training and ongoing outreach, we ensure long-term success for both the pet and the adopter. We are proud to offer specialized support, such as our Senior Pet Benefit, to help ensure the best possible outcomes for all of our animals.
