A History of Compassion
Since our founding in 1957 by a small group of volunteers, we have grown into the state's largest animal welfare and protection agency. We are an independent, private nonprofit organization, not affiliated with any other national humane groups, and we rely entirely on the generosity of our local community to fuel our lifesaving work.
