Border Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Border Animal Rescue is dedicated to cultivating the health and humane treatment of all animals while providing unwanted, homeless pets in Cochise County with a vital second chance. We work tirelessly to reduce animal overpopulation through accessible, community-based low-cost spay and neuter programs.
Why We Serve
Our organization was founded on the belief that every pet deserves a loving home and the care they need to thrive. By advocating for homeless animals and promoting population control through our trap/neuter/return program, we strive to make our community a safer, more compassionate place for our furry companions.
How We Care
Since we do not operate a physical shelter, Border Animal Rescue thrives thanks to a dedicated network of volunteers who open their homes as foster parents. This foster-based model allows our animals to receive individualized attention, socialization, and extra care in a household environment until they are ready for their forever families. We are proud to be a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ensuring that every donation goes directly toward the medical, nutritional, and emotional needs of the pets in our care.
The Adopter Connection
We are passionate about creating lasting bonds between our rescue pets and their new families. Because our animals are acclimated to home living with our fosters, we have a unique understanding of their personalities and needs. We work closely with prospective adopters to ensure a thoughtful, successful match, providing a transparent process that celebrates the joy of welcoming a new pet home.
