Our Mission
Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing compassionate, life-saving services to pets and their owners during times of crisis. We envision a community where no pet is left behind and where human and animal welfare are viewed as deeply interconnected.
Our Story
Founded in 2008 as a grassroots response to the housing crisis, our organization was born to address an unmet need for both displaced people and their abandoned pets. Over the past 17 years, we have grown into an integral community partner, helping more than 40,000 pets and 25,000 people navigate life-changing circumstances.
How We Help
We operate a no-kill shelter in Tempe that provides a comfortable and attentive environment for our animals. Our care model focuses on a holistic approach, including a Temporary Care Program, a pet food bank, and partnerships with local domestic violence shelters to keep families and their beloved companions together whenever possible.

9/30 - We’re urgently low on a few everyday essentials and could really use your help. 🐾 Right now, our biggest needs are wet kitten food, Hill’s Science Diet dog food, and laundry detergent.
