Needy Paws Animal Shelter is a dedicated 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on rehoming animals and providing vital spay/neuter and pet food assistance to the Arkansas River Valley. We are committed to creating a brighter future for homeless pets by providing them with the care, medical attention, and love they need while they await their forever homes.
Our History and Community
As an extension of the River Valley Humane Society, we have been providing a sanctuary for sick, injured, homeless, and abused animals since 1997. Located in Clarksville, Arkansas, we proudly serve Johnson County, Pope County, and the broader Arkansas River Valley area as the only no-kill, brick-and-mortar animal shelter in the region.
How We Care for Our Animals
We are a proud no-kill facility that provides medical and behavioral care to every animal during their stay. While we operate a physical shelter, we also utilize a crucial foster network to provide temporary homes for animals in need, ensuring every pet receives the support they deserve. We prioritize their well-being by providing essential vaccines, microchipping, and necessary medical procedures before they head to their new families.
