The Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League is dedicated to placing rescued and surrendered adoptable animals into loving homes while preventing the overpopulation of unwanted pets. We believe every animal deserves a bright future and a family to call their own.
Founded in 1991 by a group of eight passionate residents, our organization has proudly served the Hot Springs Village community for 35 years. What began as a small initiative to support local animal control has evolved into a vibrant, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to ensuring a high quality of life for our furry companions.
We operate as a no-kill organization, working in close cooperation with the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association to rescue and vet animals in need. Because we have no paid employees and receive no government subsidies, our life-saving work is powered entirely by the generosity of our members, donors, and nearly 200 dedicated volunteers. We provide comprehensive medical care, including spaying and neutering, to ensure every animal is ready to thrive in their new environment.
We are deeply committed to ensuring that our pets find their perfect match, which is why we prioritize thoughtful placement to meet the highest standards of animal care. Adopting a shelter pet is a joyful, life-changing experience, and our adoption coordinators are here to guide you through every step of the process. We take pride in building lasting partnerships between our rescues and the families who cherish them.
