Jackson County Humane Society
Our Mission
The Jackson County Humane Society is dedicated to providing hope and shelter to abandoned animals, ensuring every dog receives the love and care they deserve. We strive to prevent cruelty, relieve suffering, and champion humane education throughout Jackson County and beyond.
Why We Are Here
As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we believe that every animal deserves to be cherished. Our work extends across Newport, Tuckerman, Swifton, Jacksonport, and surrounding regions, uniting people with pets to create bonds that last a lifetime.
How We Care
Our shelter in Newport is a place of healing where dogs of all breeds and ages find a temporary home while they wait for their forever families. We provide comprehensive veterinary support, including vaccinations and low-cost spay and neuter services, ensuring our furry friends are healthy and ready for their next chapter.
The Adopter Connection
Adopting a rescue dog is more than bringing home a pet; it is giving a deserving companion a second chance at happiness. Whether you are looking for a playful partner or a loyal friend, our team is committed to helping you find the perfect match for your home and lifestyle.
