West Memphis Animal Shelter
Our Mission
At the West Memphis Animal Shelter, we are dedicated to promoting the health, safety, and welfare of the animals and citizens of our community. We work daily to rescue, shelter, and find loving forever homes for every dog and cat in our care.
Who We Are
As the municipal animal service provider for West Memphis, Arkansas, we serve a vital role in our city by enforcing local and state animal laws. Our professional team brings over 55 years of collective experience to our facility, ensuring that every animal receives compassionate attention while in our care.
How We Help
Our facility provides a safe, temporary haven for lost, abandoned, or injured pets. We are a team of dedicated professionals—including kennel technicians and animal control officers—who work tirelessly to provide daily care, socialization, and medical support. Through our commitment to community education and responsible pet ownership, we strive to make our city a better place for all creatures.
The Journey to Adoption
Adopting a pet is a life-changing experience, and we are here to ensure that every match is a perfect fit. Our adoption committee reviews applications with care to ensure the needs of the animal are aligned with your family and lifestyle. Whether you are bringing home a playful puppy or a sweet, senior cat, we are committed to making the process simple, transparent, and affordable.
