City of Coquitlam Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The Coquitlam Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing compassionate care for stray animals and facilitating happy, lifelong connections with new families. We work tirelessly to ensure every animal in our care receives the comfort, medical attention, and support they deserve.
Our History and Community
Since opening our doors in 2003, we have served as a vital resource for the cities of Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Port Coquitlam. We are proud to act as a safe haven for lost pets, helping to reunite them with their owners as quickly as possible or finding them loving new homes.
Our Care Model
Our facility provides a clean, professional, and safe environment for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small animals. Our dedicated staff manages every aspect of daily care, from nutritious feeding and veterinary assessments to exercise and socialization, ensuring each resident feels secure during their stay.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe that a successful adoption is a partnership built on understanding and compatibility. We encourage you to research potential pets and consult with our knowledgeable staff, who are eager to provide insights into different breeds and temperaments. Our team carefully considers each family’s lifestyle, home, and activity level to ensure that every adoption is a perfect, lasting fit.
