At Katie’s Place, we believe the life of every animal is precious, regardless of age, breed, or health. Our mission is to rescue and care for small animals, finding them loving homes while providing a safe, forever haven for those who need it most.
Founded in Maple Ridge, BC, our shelter is named after Katie—the very first resident and the rightful owner of the barn where we began our journey. Today, we continue to serve our community as a volunteer-run, nonprofit, no-kill shelter committed to the belief that all life is valuable.
Our facility is a bustling home for up to 125 cats at any given time. We take pride in caring for a diverse group of residents, from newcomers getting settled to seniors and those with special needs, such as our sweet FIV/FeLV+ kitties who are waiting for families of their own. We make no judgment on whose life is worth rescuing, ensuring that every animal in our care receives the love and support they deserve.
We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for all our animals, and we invite you to be part of their journey. Finding the perfect match is a joyful experience, and our team is here to help you connect with a companion that fits your life. Whether you are looking for a playful youngster or a sweet, steady senior, we are committed to helping you find your perfect match.
We invite you to visit Katie’s Place to meet our adorable adoptables in person every Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 2 PM. You can also view our full list of available cats on Petfinder to see who is currently dreaming of their furever home. We look forward to welcoming you and helping you start a new chapter with a wonderful animal companion.
