Surrey BC SPCA Education and Adoption Centre
Our Mission
The mission of the BC SPCA is protecting vulnerable animals and mobilizing communities so animals and people thrive together. We are dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate space for animals in need until they find their forever homes.
Why We Are Here
As part of the largest animal welfare organization of its kind in North America, the BC SPCA Surrey Community Animal Centre serves as a cornerstone for local animal welfare. We believe that by working together with our community, we can protect vulnerable animals and ensure that both people and their pets have the opportunity to thrive.
How We Care for Animals
Our animal care philosophy is guided by what each individual animal wants and needs, using science-based guidelines and the Canadian Standards of Care in Animal Shelters. We provide temporary sanctuary and veterinary assessment for animals in our care, working to ensure every healthy and treatable animal has the best chance at a bright future. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are committed to providing the highest standards of care while animals wait for their new families.
Your Adoption Journey
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you find your perfect match. Our adoption counsellors take the time to share insights about an animal's behavior and medical history, ensuring an informed and successful transition for both you and your new companion. We strive to provide transparent information so you can feel confident and prepared when you welcome a new furry friend into your life.
