Our Mission
Eastwood Ranch Foundation is dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from high-kill shelters and crisis situations across Southern California, providing them with a vital lifeline as they prepare for their forever homes. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a life filled with safety, compassion, and love.
Our Story and Purpose
Founded in 2012 by Alison Eastwood, our organization was born from a deep commitment to addressing the urgent overcrowding crisis in local shelters. We aim to do more than just rescue; we work to prevent animals from entering the shelter system in the first place through community advocacy and our mobile spay and neuter services.
Our Approach to Care
In 2024, we opened our dedicated Rescue & Adoption Center in Agoura Hills, a purpose-built facility designed for healing and connection. Here, our rescued dogs and cats receive expert care, medical attention, and enrichment in a warm, cage-free inspired environment while they wait for their new families.

10/10 - Rescue saves more than lives. It gives mama cats and their babies a chance. ❤️ Mama cats and their kittens are among the most vulnerable in our shelter systems. In high intake shelters that are overwhelmed and struggling with limited time, space, and resources, these little families are often among the first to be red listed. But they deserve a chance. Rescue gives mama cats the time, safety, and support they need to nurse and care for their babies until they’re old enough to find loving forever homes. It gives these families something they may not have had in the shelter: time, hope, and a future. 10/8 - They’re waiting. They just need someone to give them a chance. 🐾 Amazing dogs and cats are waiting every day in our shelter systems. Loving, deserving animals who may have simply been overlooked, abandoned, or never given the opportunity to show someone just how special they are. ❤️ Taking the time to look, visit, and give a shelter pet a chance can make all the difference. 10/5 - 🐾They need us to show up.🐾 We often hear, “Shelters are too sad,” or “It’s too hard for me to go.” We understand. Walking into a high-intake shelter is never easy. 💔 But imagine if everyone stayed away because it was too hard or too sad. The animals would still be there, waiting for someone to see them. That’s why we go. At Eastwood Ranch Foundation, we believe these animals deserve to be seen for who they are, not where they came from. 10/1 - 🐾📦Delivery Day!📦🐾 Our rescue pups were SO excited to see a special delivery from @bigcanyonpetfood 🐶❤️ Thanks to their incredible generosity, our rescue animals have full bellies and great nutrition while they wait for their forever homes. Every meal helps keep our pups happy, healthy, and ready for the next chapter of their lives. 🥰 And the love doesn’t stop there! 9/23 - Toast is available for adoption!🩷🐾 Toast is a sweet, resilient 6 month old domestic medium hair girl who has already overcome more in her short life than most kittens ever will. Toast was born with severe defects in her back legs that left them unusable and caused ongoing medical complications. We welcomed this brave little girl into our rescue when she was just a tiny bottle baby and have been providing her with the intensive medical care she needed ever since. Once Toast was finally big and strong enough, she underwent surgery to remove both of her hind legs. She has made an incredible recovery, and losing her back legs hasn’t slowed her down in the slightest! Toast is playful, curious, affectionate, and always ready for some love. Her favorite things are getting pets, soaking up attention, and being her happy, silly kitten self. Without rescue intervention, Toast may never have had the opportunity to receive the life changing surgery and care she needed to thrive. Today, she is a healthy, happy kitten who is ready to find her forever family. If you’re looking to adopt a truly special kitten, Toast may be your girl! Can’t adopt? You can still make a difference. 9/21 - When Mariah came to us from the @eastwoodranch she wouldn’t let anyone near her with a leash without a fight. Fear was running the show. She’s come a long way! This didn’t happen overnight. Progress like this takes consistency, structure, and a whole lot of patience, every single day. Mariah still has a long way to go, and we’re so proud of how far she’s already come. Thank you to the Eastwood Foundation for partnering with us, recognizing that Mariah needed professional help, and giving her a chance at a better future in finding a forever home. 9/18 - 🐾Let’s welcome some new intakes These seven tiny puppies were dumped at a high intake shelter, and today they’re getting a second chance. ❤️ Puppies may be adorable, but behind those sweet faces is a very real reminder of just how vulnerable they can be in the shelter system. Young puppies require extra time, care, medical attention, and resources, things that overcrowded shelters don’t have. And while we’re soaking up all the puppy cuteness, we also want to highlight the bigger picture, spaying and neutering your pets saves lives. Unwanted litters too often end up in already overwhelmed shelters, and sadly, many never make it out. These seven were among the lucky ones. 🥹❤️ They’re safe, receiving the care they need, and will be available for adoption soon! 9/17 - We can’t get enough of Peppa!🐾🩷 Somehow, sweet Peppa has been overlooked… and we just can’t understand why. It’s her turn. It’s her chance. It’s time for Peppa to find the family she’s been waiting for. ❤️ Peppa has proven herself to be an amazing girl. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, walks nicely on leash, and has shown zero signs of aggression. She’s simply a sweet girl who wants to enjoy life and be loved. And what does Peppa require from her forever family? Maybe a cozy bed. Maybe some fun walks. And definitely… some zen head scratches at the end of the day. 🥰🐶 Peppa has so much love to give.
