The Brittany Foundation

Our Mission

The Brittany Foundation is a dedicated dog rescue and sanctuary committed to providing a safe haven for dogs in need while working tirelessly to find them loving forever homes.

A History of Compassion

Founded in 1994 by Nancy Anderson, our journey began from a simple decision to act against the challenges dogs face. What started with a single rescue has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, where our mission is guided by decades of passion for giving dogs a place to heal and a chance at a brighter future.

Our Sanctuary Life

Nestled in the beautiful hills of Agua Dulce, our sanctuary provides a comfortable environment for up to 50 canine residents at any given time. Each pup stays in a personalized room featuring couches, beds, and toys, with cooling misting systems and winterproof coverings to ensure comfort year-round. Our dedicated team of employees and volunteers provides daily enrichment, socialization, and plenty of walks to keep every dog happy and healthy.

A Thoughtful Approach to Adoption

We believe in creating lasting bonds, which is why we utilize a thorough adoption process to ensure each dog is placed with a family that understands their unique needs. Because our dogs deserve the best, we require in-person visits, home checks, and an adoption contract to provide peace of mind for both the adopter and our foundation. We are here to support every step of your journey in bringing a new best friend into your home.

Join Our Community

Even if you are not ready to adopt, you can still make a difference in our dogs' lives through donations, volunteering, or following our daily stories on social media. We invite you to explore our available dogs or reach out to learn more about how you can help. Together, we can provide these deserving dogs with the love and security they need.
