Calaveras Humane Society
Our Mission
At the Calaveras Humane Society, our goal is to promote an excellent quality of life for the companion animals of our region. We are dedicated to ensuring every pet finds the care and happiness they deserve.
Who We Are
We are a local, independent non-profit organization serving Calaveras County, California. Since opening our Animal Adoption Center in Angels Camp in 2019, we have remained committed to our community without any national affiliation or government funding, relying instead on your generous contributions and dedicated volunteer support.
How We Care
We believe that every animal deserves a safe environment, whether they are staying at our well-maintained shelter facility in Angels Camp or thriving in one of our volunteer-led foster homes. Our small, passionate staff and volunteer team work tirelessly to ensure each animal receives the attention, comfort, and medical support necessary to prepare them for their forever families.
Your Role in Our Family
Adoption is the beginning of a beautiful partnership, and we take pride in matching our animals with families who will cherish them. Our adopters often share that their new companions are the best additions to their lives, and we love witnessing these joyful, successful transitions firsthand.
