Kern County Animal Services is dedicated to providing professional and compassionate care to the people and pets of our community. We strive to create safe, healthy environments for all animals while promoting responsible pet ownership throughout Kern County.

Serving over 8,000 square miles, our department works to protect both public safety and animal welfare. We serve the unincorporated areas of the county and partner with local cities to ensure that stray, abandoned, or neglected animals receive the attention and protection they deserve.
