Butte Humane Society is dedicated to saving lives, finding homes, and inspiring compassion in our community. We are committed to nurturing the human-animal bond through advocacy, education, and humanitarian care for all our animal companions.

As one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Butte County, California, we have been working since 1911 to provide a voice for animals in need. For over a century, we have opened our doors to the lost, the scared, and the forgotten, helping them rediscover comfort and joy.

10/5 - Pachuco found his forever family! 💕 After waiting patiently for his people, this sweet, happy-go-lucky Great Pyrenees mix is heading home to start the next chapter of his life. He proved what we always knew: sometimes the biggest dogs really do have the biggest hearts. 🐾 Pachuco, we’re so proud of you and we’ll miss that charming personality!
