Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center
Connecting Pets to People
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is dedicated to making families complete by bringing joy, laughter, and lifelong companionship to our community through pet adoption. We believe that every pet has a special place in a loving home, and we are here to help you find your perfect match.
Our Story
Our center was founded in memory of Miss Winkles, an adorable West Highland Terrier whose playful spirit and boundless affection were a source of great joy to her owner, David McDonald. Following her passing, Mr. McDonald chose to celebrate her life by supporting this state-of-the-art facility, ensuring that other pets have the chance to find the same love she shared.
A Commitment to Care
As the primary adoption facility for Clovis Animal Services, we lovingly care for up to 150 animals at a time within our advanced, modern facility. We utilize state-of-the-art sanitizing technologies and air filtration systems, alongside a dedicated team of professional staff and volunteers, to provide a safe and healthy environment for every pet while they await their forever families.

Whether you are looking for a new best friend to join your home or a lively companion for your family, our staff is here to guide you through the process with care and expertise. 9/25 - *UPDATE: Adopted!* POV: You’re understaffed, so one of your adoptable pets has to clock in to help! Meet Arnold, our newest adoption center employee! He’s been spotted processing paperwork, conducting medical evaluations, prepping meals, folding laundry, greeting guests, and making sure the humans are doing their jobs correctly! He may have clocked in to help around the shelter, but what Arnold really wants is to clock out for good and start his retirement as someone’s spoiled house cat. Come visit this hardworking boy at Miss Winkles! Applications are accepted in-person only on a first-come, first-served basis.
