Our Mission
I.C.A.R.E. (Into Canine Adoption, Rehabilitation, and Education) Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-breed organization dedicated to saving lives and reducing the number of dogs lost each day. We are committed to providing rescue, rehabilitation, and compassionate placement for dogs in need.
A Heart for Rescue
Founded in the fall of 2010, our team has built a reputation for stepping up to help the dogs others might overlook. Whether a dog is sick, injured, or simply needs someone to believe in them again, we are there to provide a bridge from a difficult past to a bright, loving future.
How We Operate
We believe in the power of stability, which is why our rescue is entirely foster-based. By placing our rescues into safe, loving foster homes rather than traditional kennels, we provide them with the individual attention, medical care, and training they need to thrive. Our dedicated team of volunteers supports these fosters every step of the way to ensure each dog is prepared for their forever home.

9/24 - 💗 SAVED and RESCUED 💗 Wow!!! What a day !! You guys came through again with your shares, comments, and tags!! We found 4 incredible fosters to say yes to helping these babies get their freedom walk out of the shelter ! Teddy, Leona (now Ash), Lewis (now Chip), and Lainey (now Misu) will never know shelter life again . We are grateful to this community for continuing to step up ! Thank you to our transportation team, our foster coordinator, or our president and everyone who takes part in the pulling of these dogs. It takes a village . Rescue is never about one person. Thank you !!🙏 But there’s more …. We left some friends 😭😩. Stay tuned … because we are going for another shelter freedom break this week and will need your help . But we know this ask is doable because look at the change we made today . Four lives saved and forever changed.
