Delano Police Department Animal Control
Our Mission
The City of Delano Animal Control team is dedicated to providing compassionate care for our community’s animals while working tirelessly to find them loving, permanent homes. We believe every animal deserves a safe environment and a family to call their own.
Serving Our Community
Located at 1525 Mettler Avenue, our shelter serves as a vital resource for the City of Delano. We are committed to maintaining a safe community by responding to animal-related needs, from addressing roaming animal reports to providing essential care for found or injured pets brought into our facility.
Our Commitment to Care
Our dedicated staff works hard every day to ensure our shelter animals receive the care and attention they need. We are proud of our successful efforts in preparing animals for adoption, often collaborating with other agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for every pet in our care.

We believe in the joy of creating lifelong partnerships between people and pets. Our team makes every effort to understand the needs of our animals so we can facilitate successful, happy adoptions that bring warmth and companionship to homes across our community.
