Kittyland Cat & Kitten Rescue
Our Mission
At Kittyland Cat & Kitten Rescue, our mission is to provide every cat and kitten that comes to us with compassion, respect, and love. We are dedicated to giving abandoned and neglected cats a second chance at a happy life, ensuring that even those who stay with us permanently find a sanctuary filled with dignity and peace.
Our Story
Located on a three-acre property in Desert Hot Springs, our sanctuary has served as a vital refuge for animals for over 35 years. In 2014, when the site's future was threatened by zoning changes, we stepped in to protect our feline residents, officially establishing Kittyland as a sanctuary dedicated exclusively to cats.
How We Operate
Kittyland is a volunteer-based, 501c3 non-profit organization fueled by the generosity of supporters who care deeply about homeless cats in the Coachella Valley. Our sanctuary provides a peaceful, climate-controlled environment designed for healing and socialization, allowing us to care for senior, disabled, and unwanted cats in a safe, tranquil setting.
Your Adoption Journey
We believe that adding a cat to your family is a joyful, lifelong commitment. Our Adoption Counselors use a thoughtful, conversation-based matchmaking process at both our sanctuary and our PetSmart partner locations to ensure a perfect fit for both you and your new companion. We provide comprehensive post-adoption support and remain available to offer expert guidance as your cat acclimates to their forever home.
