A History of Compassion
Founded by Suzanne Mikhail, our organization has been on a 40-year mission to care for the abandoned, abused, and injured. Based in Escondido, California, we serve the broader San Diego County area, providing essential medical care, nutrition, and comfort to dogs who have often been overlooked or turned away elsewhere.
Our Foster-Based Approach
As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, we operate as a foster-based rescue rather than a physical shelter. By placing our dogs into loving foster homes, we provide them with stability and personal attention, which helps them transition more smoothly into their future forever families.
