Our Mission
Animal Compassion Team is dedicated to bringing positive change to the Central Valley of California by providing a safe, temporary home for animals in need. We work tirelessly to help as many animals as possible find loving, forever homes through adoption, owner support, and community education.
Our History
Founded in 2009 with a we can do it attitude, our commitment to the animals of our community has only grown stronger over the last 16 years. We are proud to have impacted the lives of over 20,000 animals, offering them hope and a second chance at happiness.
How We Operate
Our model centers on providing a nurturing environment where pets can thrive while waiting for their new families. Many of our wonderful animals live in foster homes, which allows them to experience life in a family setting, while others reside at our Sofia Adoption Center. We also partner with local animal control agencies to provide safe placement for pets after they have completed their legal stray hold periods.

We believe every pet deserves a home of their own, and our goal is to help you make the perfect love connection. Because we want to ensure a lasting bond, we guide you through our online application process and offer resources to assist with adjustments. When an animal becomes part of the Animal Compassion Team family, it is guaranteed a place with us for life, ensuring you are never alone on your journey as a pet parent.
