Valley Animal Center
Our Mission
Valley Animal Center is dedicated to uniting dogs and cats with loving people, providing them with the care and support they need to thrive in a happy, permanent home.
Our History
Since our founding in 1992 as the California Feline Foundation, we have grown from a humble cat sanctuary in downtown Fresno into a cornerstone of the Central Valley’s animal welfare community. We were created to address the urgent need for no-kill humane efforts in a region with historically high stray populations and limited resources.
Our Commitment to Care
As a no-kill organization, we provide a safe haven for thousands of animals annually, caring for them until they find their perfect match. Our state-of-the-art facility features comfortable indoor/outdoor living quarters, advanced air-ventilation systems, and antimicrobial flooring to ensure every pet stays healthy while in our care. We prioritize rescues from local animal control agencies, giving animals a second chance at life through medical rehabilitation, vaccinations, and endless compassion.
The Journey to Your New Best Friend
Adoption is more than just a transaction; it is the beginning of a lifelong partnership between you and your new furry companion. Our dedicated staff is here to guide you through the process, helping you find an animal whose personality and needs align perfectly with your lifestyle and home environment. We believe that when you adopt from us, you aren't just finding a pet—you are gaining a loyal family member.
