The Sierra Pacific Great Pyrenees Club is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and promoting the noble Great Pyrenees breed through advocacy, education, and compassionate rescue efforts. We operate as a unified family committed to edifying the people who love and care for these wonderful dogs.
Born from a shared enthusiasm for the breed, our club was established in October 1996 by a dedicated group of enthusiasts and dog show exhibitors. We are an independently licensed club member of the American Kennel Club and an affiliate of the Great Pyrenees Club of America, serving the Greater Sacramento area with passion and expertise.
When a dog enters our rescue program, we ensure they receive the comprehensive care they deserve before finding their forever home. Every rescue dog is fully evaluated, brought current on vaccines, microchipped, de-wormed, tested for heartworm, and spayed or neutered. We believe in restoring these dogs to health and providing any necessary training so they are ready for a fresh start with a loving family.
Adopting a Great Pyrenees is a joyful, life-changing decision that creates a devoted friendship for years to come. Our thorough adoption process, which includes home evaluations and reference checks, ensures that every dog is matched with a safe and suitable environment tailored to their unique needs. We prioritize responsible ownership and long-term success for both our dogs and their new families.
Whether you are looking to provide a second chance to a dog in need or simply want to connect with fellow enthusiasts, we welcome you to join our community. Please visit our available dogs page to meet your potential companion, or contact us to start your adoption journey today. Together, we can continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of these incredible animals.
