The Peter Zippi Memorial Fund is dedicated to ending pet homelessness by providing compassionate rescue, rehabilitation, and spay/neuter assistance for cats and kittens in need. Since 1977, we have remained committed to giving every animal in our care a second chance at a loving, permanent home.
Founded by Dr. Alice Villalobos in memory of Peter Zippi, a young man who shared a deep love for animals, our organization has helped over 20,000 cats and dogs. Today, we continue this legacy by operating as a no-kill rescue, focusing on abandoned animals and those with special needs who require extra support before finding their forever families.
Our work is driven by a network of dedicated volunteers who ensure our feline friends receive the care, health screenings, and medical attention they need to thrive. Operating from our location within the VCA Coast Animal Hospital in Hermosa Beach, we bridge the gap between shelter life and the comfort of a home. We also provide vital community outreach, including financial assistance for spay and neuter services to support responsible pet ownership across the region.
At Peter Zippi, we believe that adoption is the start of a beautiful, lifelong partnership. Our Adoption Counselors are here to guide you through a thoughtful process that ensures a perfect match for both you and your new companion. Whether you visit us during our open Meet & Greet hours or utilize our Foster to Adopt program, we are here to make your experience joyful and memorable.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to view our available cats and kittens online or join us for a visit at our Hermosa Beach location. Together, we can create more happy endings for the cats who need us most.
