Our Story and Purpose
Our journey began with Carlo, a stray pug who taught us that being disabled simply means being different, not limited. We realized that senior and special needs dogs are often the most overlooked in shelters, despite being some of the happiest, most loving, and well-behaved animals you will ever meet. We exist to change the narrative and provide these deserving dogs with the care and visibility they need to thrive.
How We Operate
While we are currently building our state-of-the-art adoption center in the beautiful hills of Laguna Canyon, our work continues through our dedicated foster program. Our foster parents provide a nurturing, temporary haven where dogs can recuperate and prepare for their new lives while we manage all medical care, food, and supplies. We also collaborate with our sister entity, Rise Pet Health, to ensure our rescues receive advanced, specialized medical support.
