Lathrop Police Department Community Services Division
Our Mission
The Lathrop Police Department Animal Services team is dedicated to the well-being of our community's animals and the people who love them. We strive to create a safe, supportive environment where every animal in our care is treated with compassion and given the best opportunity for a bright future.
Serving Our Community
As part of the Lathrop Police Department, our animal services division plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and harmony of our city. Beyond finding forever homes for our residents, we provide essential field services, enforce animal welfare laws, and educate our neighbors on responsible pet ownership to ensure a thriving environment for everyone.
Our Care Model
Our commitment to animal welfare begins the moment a pet enters our care. We prioritize health and safety by ensuring every adoptable animal is spayed or neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated against Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. By maintaining high standards of care, we prepare our animals to transition smoothly into their new, loving homes.
Building Lifelong Bonds
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you find the perfect match for your family. We encourage adopters to learn about the adjustment process, such as the 3-3-3 rule, to ensure your new companion feels right at home. We believe that with patience and love, every rescue animal can flourish and become a cherished family member.
