Angel City Pit Bulls is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating a better future for pit bulls. We promote their positive image as loving family companions through education, public advocacy, thoughtful adoptions, and community owner support.
Founded in 2010, we grew from a group of dedicated pit bull fans into a supportive village working to address the overpopulation and high euthanasia rate of pit bull terrier type dogs in Los Angeles. As an integral member of the NKLA Coalition, we believe our city can be a community where no healthy or treatable pet dies for lack of space.
We are a foster-based organization, meaning our dogs live in temporary homes where they receive love, socialization, and structure until they find their permanent match. Because we operate entirely on the support of volunteers and donations, we can focus our resources on the veterinary care and nourishment that many of our rescue dogs require upon arrival.
Welcoming a new dog into your home is a rewarding journey, and we are here to support that bond. Our foster parents and volunteers provide essential life lessons and care, helping each dog transition successfully into their new life with you. When you choose to adopt from our program, you are not just gaining a companion; you are joining a collaborative village dedicated to the well-being of these amazing dogs.
Whether you are looking for a new family member or want to get involved, we invite you to explore our available dogs to find your perfect match. If you are ready to make a difference, you can learn more about fostering, volunteering, or making a tax-deductible donation on our website. Together, we can educate, advocate, and celebrate the incredible spirit of pit bulls in Los Angeles.
