Our Mission
The REAL Bark is a dedicated Los Angeles dog rescue group acting as a Responsible, Ethical, Animal League. We are a collective of rescuers, rehabilitators, and responders committed to providing a second chance for discarded and forgotten lives.
Our Story
For years, we have humbly taken in animals from the streets, local shelters, and even other countries to guide them toward a new, protected, and celebrated life. We do not shy away from big challenges or special needs cases, believing that every animal deserves a path to healing and happiness.
How We Help
As a registered 501c3 non-profit, we rely on a compassionate community to help us save lives through daily care, rescue efforts, and foster placements. Our foster-based approach allows us to provide individualized attention to our pups, ensuring they are nurtured in a home environment while they wait for their forever families.

10/3 - BEGINNING AGAIN is a REAL thing for sweet, senior Hattie. Tragically, her owner that ADORED her, passed away…and of course we said YES to helping this under 7 lb adorable granny who has no teeth and missing part of her lower jaw…and also as a way to honor her papa’s love. Hattie has incredible energy, and a zeal for life. Loves to play, walk, nap, & sunbathe. Lucky girl is being brilliantly fostered by Justine & Miguel, until she finds the person or peeps to help her write her next chapter. That You?
