Westside German Shepherd Rescue of LA
Our Mission
Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles is a non-profit 501(c)3, no-kill rescue dedicated to saving German Shepherd Dogs from high-kill shelters. We are committed to placing these deserving animals into loving, qualified homes where they can thrive.
Why We Rescue
German Shepherd Dogs are intelligent and loyal companions, yet many find themselves in high-kill shelters through no fault of their own. We step in to provide these dogs with the safety, professional veterinary care, and stability they need to find their second chance at a happy life.
How We Operate
Our rescue efforts are supported by a community of dedicated volunteers and partnerships with trusted veterinary professionals like Dr. Hernandez at Ark Animal Hospital. We operate as a no-kill organization, working tirelessly to ensure every dog receives the specialized attention they deserve until they find their perfect match.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adopting a German Shepherd is a rewarding journey, and we are here to support you in finding the right member for your family. We focus on careful matching to ensure that both the dog and the adopter are set up for lasting success. To ensure a smooth transition, we even offer resources like professional training through our partner, Emily Roach of My Dog Is My Rock, who provides a free first group class to our adopters.
