The Humboldt County Animal Shelter is dedicated to protecting and serving our community with compassion and accountability. We strive to provide a safe haven for stray, abandoned, and neglected animals while working to find them loving, permanent homes.

Our Commitment to Care
Every animal in our care receives professional health and temperament evaluations to ensure the best possible start for their new lives. We are proud to partner with dedicated non-profit organizations and a wonderful team of volunteers who help us walk dogs, clean, and provide essential daily care. Before finding their forever families, every dog and cat is spayed or neutered to support a healthy pet population.
