Our Mission
At Cat Town, our mission is cats. We are dedicated to saving the lives of at-risk cats, finding them loving homes, and advocating for a future where every cat is valued.
Our Story
Founded in 2011 to challenge the belief that scared, senior, or overlooked shelter cats were unadoptable, Cat Town was born out of a desire to give every cat a fair chance. We recognized that the traditional shelter environment was often a barrier for the most vulnerable cats, and we set out to prove that these wonderful companions simply needed more time and a gentler approach.
Our Approach
We believe every cat deserves to thrive, which is why we moved beyond the cage to create a unique, supportive environment. By combining a cage-free adoption center—America’s first cat cafe—with an extensive network of dedicated foster homes, we help shy, stressed, and senior cats find their confidence. Through patient rehabilitation and specialized medical support, we create the perfect environment for cats to be themselves while they wait for their forever families.

10/4 - Irving is an 8-year-old sweetie with a charming “smoker’s meow.” This mellow fellow has been through the ringer with a fractured leg that required amputation, and severe dental disease that left him toothless. Now, he’s looking for a peaceful home. Like many cats, Irving prefers people who notice and respect his boundaries. Outings in his carrier can be stressful for him, so he’ll appreciate anxiety medication for vet visits — easily slipped into his food or given as a treat! That’s because Irving’s biggest “vice” is his enthusiasm for meals. He’ll come running at the sound of a clicker — which he knows means dinnertime! — and may even try to sneak a bite of another cat’s dinner if given the chance. This affectionate boy enjoys soft petting and napping near his person. He’s also great with other cats, often sleeping and soaking up the sun’s rays side by side with his foster’s resident cat.
