Paradise Animal Control/Shelter
Our Mission
Paradise Animal Control and Shelter is dedicated to providing service to all residents of the Town of Paradise, both human and animal, with the dignity, respect, and safety they deserve. We ensure the humane treatment of animals and provide a safe, welcoming shelter for lost and homeless pets as they find their way home.
Our History and Commitment
Serving the Paradise Ridge community, our shelter has long stood as a cornerstone for animal welfare in the region. We are deeply committed to protecting both our human and animal residents through dedicated law enforcement, public education, and comprehensive rabies control efforts.
How We Care for Our Animals
We believe in giving every animal the best start possible. Upon arrival, our dedicated team evaluates every pet, ensuring all healthy animals are vaccinated, de-wormed, and treated for fleas and ticks within 48 hours. Our shelter operations are bolstered by our incredible partners at Paradise Animal Shelter Helpers (PASH), who have been supporting animals on the Ridge since 1986 by covering medical costs and sponsoring spay/neuter services for our adoptees.
Connecting You with a New Best Friend
Adopting is a joyful journey, and we are here to make that partnership seamless. Every adoption includes a free health exam from our local veterinarian, the Animal Hospital on the Ridge, within seven days of bringing your new companion home. We take pride in our thoughtful, transparent process that prioritizes the long-term well-being of both the pet and the family.
