The Placer SPCA is dedicated to enhancing the lives of companion animals and supporting the human-animal bond. We envision a community where every companion animal is safe, cared for, and treated with kindness.
Since 1973, what began as a group of animal-loving volunteers has grown into the largest and most comprehensive animal welfare provider in the county. For more than 50 years, we have served as a vital community resource by reuniting lost pets with their owners and helping thousands of homeless animals find a second chance at love.
We operate as an independent 501(c)(3) organization with six specialized facilities, including our Adoption & Education Center and our new Veterinary & Foster Care Center. Our approach is defined by compassionate, whole-animal care, providing socialization, exercise, and medical treatment for the animals who need us most while they wait for their forever homes.
We believe in thoughtful matchmaking, helping you find a companion that fits perfectly into your lifestyle and household. We encourage you to explore our available animals and reach out to our team, who are here to guide you through every step of the process with resources and professional support. Adopting a pet is a rewarding journey, and we are honored to help you start your new life together.
