Fresno Bully Rescue (FBR) is a volunteer-based, no-kill rescue and shelter dedicated to providing a loving, healthy environment for bully breeds while finding them the forever families they deserve. We are committed to demonstrating that these dogs are loyal, loving companions through community education and advocacy.
Founded on May 1, 2008, in response to the California housing market crash, FBR emerged as a critical resource when countless dogs were left vulnerable in shelters. Since our inception, we have successfully rescued over 3,000 dogs, providing them with a bridge from uncertainty to security. Today, we continue that legacy by serving as a dedicated voice and advocate for bully breeds in the Central Valley.
We operate as one of the only breed-specific, no-kill rescue kennel facilities in California, housing over 40 adult dogs at our sanctuary. Our efforts are bolstered by an incredible network of foster families who provide temporary homes for puppies and adults, allowing us to offer the personalized care each dog needs. While in our care, our dogs receive physical and mental rehabilitation, training, and the companionship of our dedicated staff and volunteers.
We believe that every adoption is a partnership, which is why our adoption program focuses on thoughtful matching to ensure a smooth, successful transition for both the dog and your family. Our team is here to support you throughout the process, from the initial application to final introductions with existing pets. We are committed to transparency and guidance, ensuring you feel confident in your new forever friend.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to view our adoptable dogs online, visit our shelter in Sanger to meet the pack, or join our vibrant volunteer community. Together, we can provide these deserving dogs with the second chance they have been waiting for.
