Santa Monica Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The City of Santa Monica Animal Shelter is dedicated to promoting and protecting the health, welfare, and safety of both animals and our community. We strive to strengthen the bond between pets and people through compassionate care and proactive, humane treatment.
Who We Are
As a dedicated, progressive animal shelter, we serve the Santa Monica area by providing essential support to animals in need. Every year, we work tirelessly to help lost, abandoned, and homeless animals find nurturing forever homes where they can thrive.
Our Commitment to Care
Our team provides outstanding care for every animal that comes through our doors, focusing on individual needs and well-being. We believe that every pet deserves a second chance, and our professional staff is here to ensure that each animal receives the attention, safety, and compassion they deserve while they await their new family.
Find Your New Best Friend
Adopting a pet is a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you find the perfect match for your lifestyle and home. Whether you are looking for a dog, a cat, or an unconventional friend like a bird or turtle, we invite you to view our adoptable animals and begin your journey. We also offer resources like training tips using positive reinforcement to help you and your new companion build a strong foundation together.
