At Pets Lifeline, we are dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of cats and dogs in the Sonoma Valley through compassionate sheltering, adoption, youth education, and community-wide support programs.
Founded in 1982 by a group of passionate community members, Pets Lifeline emerged to provide essential resources for local stray and abandoned animals. For over 30 years, we have served as a cornerstone of the Sonoma Valley, evolving from our early beginnings into a vital resource center that helps pets stay healthy, safe, and at home with the families who love them.
We believe in creating a supportive environment for every animal, which is why we have implemented Fear Free practices to minimize stress, anxiety, and fear for our temporary residents. Operating as a privately owned nonprofit, we work closely with a network of rescue partners to ensure our animals receive expert care, medical treatment, and behavioral support while they await their new beginnings.
Adoption is a joyful journey, and our goal is to match each pet with a home where they can truly thrive. Whether you are looking for a playful companion or a quiet friend, our dedicated team is here to guide you through a thoughtful matching process, ensuring a confident and connected transition for you and your future best friend.
Your next best friend is waiting to meet you! We invite you to visit our Adoption Center in Sonoma to view our adoptable animals, or reach out to our team to learn more about how you can get involved through volunteering, fostering, or attending one of our community events.
