Animal Rescue of Tracy
Our Mission
Animal Rescue of Tracy is a dedicated group of passionate volunteers committed to rescuing and nurturing companion animals, finding them safe and happy forever homes. We strive to create community awareness regarding the importance of spaying and neutering to help reduce overpopulation.
Our History
Founded in 1994, our organization emerged to address the growing need for compassionate care for abandoned and mistreated pets. Since becoming an independent non-profit in 2002, we have proudly rescued, spayed, neutered, and successfully rehomed almost 4,000 cats and dogs within our community.
How We Help
We are a completely foster-based rescue group, meaning our animals live in loving temporary homes until they are adopted. By caring for our animals in these personal settings, we gain deep insights into each pet's unique personality, habits, and behavioral nuances. This ensures we can share a comprehensive understanding of every animal with their potential new family.
Building Lifelong Bonds
We believe that adoption is a partnership built on compatibility and trust. Our adoption process focuses on matching the individual temperament and energy level of our pets with your unique lifestyle and home environment. Whether through a meet-and-greet at our adoption center or a home study, our primary goal is to foster a successful, joyful transition for both you and your new furry companion.
