City of Tracy Animal Services
Our Mission
At Tracy Animal Services, we work diligently to serve the animals and people of our community with professional, efficient care, fueled by genuine kindness and compassion. Our dedicated staff is here to ensure a safe and healthy environment while promoting the life-long joy of responsible pet ownership.
Serving the Tracy Community
Our shelter has long been a fixture in Tracy, focused on enforcing local animal welfare codes and providing a bridge to safety for pets in need. We are committed to transparency and community health, ensuring that our local animal population receives the care and protection they deserve.
How We Care for Our Animals
We believe that shelter life should be as comfortable as possible, and we provide medical support, essential vaccinations, and socialization for every animal in our care. Through initiatives like our Big Heart Fund, we ensure that injured or sick strays receive the vital veterinary attention they need to recover. We also lean on a vibrant network of support, from our dedicated staff to community volunteers who keep our shelter running smoothly.
Connecting Pets and People
Adoption is the start of a beautiful partnership, and we are here to help you find your perfect companion. We believe in the power of enrichment, offering programs like our Doggy Day Out to help our dogs thrive, and our Youth Ambassador Program to inspire the next generation of animal advocates. By focusing on socialization and individual care, we prepare our animals to transition seamlessly into their forever homes.
