California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue
Our Mission
California Labradors, Retrievers and More is a 100% volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving, forever homes for dogs at risk of being lost in overcrowded shelters or on the streets.
Our History
Since 2011, our grassroots organization has been a lifeline for animals in need. We have proudly rescued over 16,000 dogs, providing them with a second chance at life and transforming the lives of countless families across Southern California.
How We Operate
We are a community-focused organization, with our dogs housed primarily in loving foster homes, where they learn to be family members in a safe, nurturing environment. Some of our dogs also stay at our boarding facility, affectionately known as the Ranch. By partnering with local volunteers, fosters, and veterinarians, we provide comprehensive medical care, high-quality nutrition, and the personalized attention necessary for every dog to thrive.
The Adopter Connection
We believe that every adoption is a meaningful, life-changing partnership. Our goal is to unite families with the perfect companion, so we encourage you to take time to select a dog that matches your lifestyle and energy level. We are committed to transparency and provide support and information through our interview process to ensure a smooth, rewarding transition for both you and your new furry best friend.
Join Our Mission
Whether you are ready to adopt, foster, or volunteer your time, your support helps us continue our work. We invite you to visit our available dogs page to find your new best friend or connect with us to learn more about how you can help us save more lives. Together, we can build brighter futures for dogs and families across San Diego.

10/5 - Our little Monsters, Inc. pups are doing SO well in their foster home! 🥹 When we first met these six pups, they had just lost their mom, who was tragically killed by a coyote. They were tiny, vulnerable, and needed bottle feeding and round-the-clock care to survive. Because of your support, they got exactly what they needed. Today, they’re growing, thriving, and getting closer to the happy, healthy lives they deserve. Transformations like this are only possible because of supporters like YOU. ♥️ And one of our biggest fundraisers of the year is coming up! Every Mutt Run registration helps provide the care needed to rescue, heal, and give more dogs their second chance. 🎃 13th Annual Howl-O-Ween Mutt Run 5K Run/Walk Saturday, October 24 at Road Runner Sports Come make a difference for dogs in need while having a whole lot of fun! 👻 Costume Contest 🏃 5K Run/Walk 📸 Photo Booth 🍻 Beer Garden 🎟️ Opportunity Drawings 🐾 And more!
