Big Love Animal Rescue is dedicated to ensuring that every dog is seen, saved, and loved. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to rescuing vulnerable dogs and showing the world that rescue dogs make extraordinary family members.
Founded by Lisa Arturo in 2019 in Valley Village, California, Big Love began with a vision to help dogs who were sick, injured, or simply running out of time. We created a space where neglected dogs receive necessary medical care, rehabilitation, and a gentle environment where they can learn to trust again.
We are a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue, meaning we do not have a physical, brick-and-mortar facility. Instead, our dogs thrive in the warmth of volunteer foster homes where they receive nourishment, safety, and the personal attention they deserve. This compassionate community ensures that every animal is treated like family—never just a number.
We believe in creating the perfect, lasting match between our rescues and their new families. By thoughtfully considering each dog’s unique background, personality, and temperament, we ensure that every adoption is a happy and permanent one. Because we value these deep connections, we are careful and intentional in our placement process.
If you are ready to find your new best friend, we invite you to browse our available dogs and learn more about our process. Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or join our community of supporters, your dedication helps us save lives every day. We look forward to helping you meet your perfect match!
