Pet Orphans of Southern California is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting rescue, rehabilitation, and responsible pet ownership. We work passionately to combat overpopulation and abandonment by connecting adoptable homeless dogs and cats with their perfect forever homes.
Since 1973, we have proudly served our community for over 53 years. As the oldest and largest private humane organization with its own shelter in Southern California, we remain committed to reducing euthanasia in city and county shelters by providing exceptional care for the animals who need it most.
We provide a comprehensive approach to animal welfare, which includes high-quality sheltering, grooming, and medical support at our own facility. Our commitment goes beyond adoption, as we offer community services such as affordable veterinary care, including spay/neuter and vaccinations, to support all pet guardians in our community.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our dedicated team is here to help you find a companion that fits your unique lifestyle and family. We believe that thoughtful matching and training support create lasting bonds that benefit both the pet and their new family for years to come.
Whether you are ready to welcome a new dog or cat into your life or simply want to support our mission, we invite you to connect with us. Visit our website to view our available pets, book an appointment at our clinic, or learn how you can become a vital part of our rescue team as a volunteer.
