Our Mission
Community Concern For Cats is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue organization dedicated to saving lives in Contra Costa County, California. We strive to end the suffering of homeless cats by providing medical rehabilitation, spay and neuter services, and finding every adoptable cat a loving, permanent home.
Our Commitment to Change
Since our founding, we have worked tirelessly to address the challenge of cat overpopulation through our comprehensive Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs and dedicated rescue efforts. By focusing on both community sterilization and individual care, we aim to transform the lives of local cats, helping them transition from the streets to safe, healthy futures.
A Personalized Care Model
We are a unique, foster-based rescue, meaning our cats are socialized in our members' own homes rather than in cages at a facility. This approach allows us to truly get to know each cat’s unique personality and temperament, ensuring we understand their individual needs before they ever meet their future family. Through our professional-grade Cat Hospital, we provide essential medical care and surgeries for the cats in our program, preparing them for their next big adventure.
