Yolo County Animal Services is dedicated to providing compassionate care for every animal in our community, ensuring a safe haven for pets in need regardless of temperament, health, or species.
Who We Are
As a taxpayer-funded, open-admission municipal shelter, we serve the vibrant communities of Woodland, Davis, West Sacramento, Winters, the UC Davis campus, and the surrounding unincorporated areas of Yolo County. We stand as the first responders for animals in natural disasters and emergencies, working tirelessly to support both people and their pets throughout our region.
How We Care
Our facility provides essential housing, medical treatment, and daily care to domestic and exotic animals alike. Beyond sheltering, our professional staff manages licensing, vaccinations, rescues, and critical animal control services to protect public health and animal welfare across our diverse service area.
