FAR Side Journey
A Mission to Save Lives
Save the Meow Meows is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, neglected, and abused animals. We believe that every animal deserves a loving home, and we work tirelessly to make that dream a reality for our furry friends.
Our Journey
Our story began in 2020 when our founder, Kristen Fahy, discovered the urgent need for rescue in Southern California and began fostering to help. Since then, we have grown into a passionate team of volunteers, board members, and foster caregivers committed to providing a safe haven for animals that would otherwise have no place to go.
How We Operate
We are a rescue organization that partners with municipal animal shelters to intake animals at risk of euthanasia. Our cat lounge in Yucca Valley serves as a safe, welcoming environment where our rescue cats can thrive, socialize, and wait for their forever families in comfort.
Your New Best Friend
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to ensure you find the perfect match. Whether you start by browsing our adoptable cats online or drop by our lounge in person to meet them, our team is dedicated to supporting you through the transition. We provide competitive adoption fees that go directly toward essential medical care, ensuring every animal is healthy and ready for their new life.
