Our Mission
Wild Blue Cats! is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the precious lives of cats and kittens who have been abandoned, abused, neglected, or displaced. We are committed to providing every feline in our care with a safe haven, whether that means finding them a permanent home or offering lifetime sanctuary.
Why We Exist
Located in the wooded Black Forest area of Colorado Springs, we serve as a vital resource for animals that might otherwise be at risk. We believe in preventing the euthanasia of treatable and savable animals, reserving it only as a last resort for those suffering from extreme, incurable discomfort. Our work ensures that even the most vulnerable cats have a chance to experience safety, warmth, and dignity.
Our Care Model
We provide a loving, multifaceted environment where cats can thrive while awaiting their forever families. Our main sanctuary features communal housing and protected outdoor catios, while our extensive foster network provides specialized care for kittens, pregnant mothers, and those needing extra medical support. We even operate Maya’s Friends Wildheart Village, a specialized outdoor enclosure that offers a secure, comfortable life for our shy and feral residents.
