Eagle Valley Humane Society
A Legacy of Compassion
The Eagle Valley Humane Society exists to prevent animal cruelty, relieve suffering, and help homeless animals find their forever families. We are dedicated to spreading community awareness and preventing pet overpopulation through our proactive spay and neuter initiatives.
Our History and Mission
Since 1974, our organization has served the people and animals of Eagle County. We were established to address the critical needs of homeless animals in our region, and today we remain a trusted, primary leader in public outreach and animal welfare.
A Unique Approach to Care
We believe in a compassionate, community-focused approach to animal rescue. Our adult cats enjoy a warm, cageless environment at our privately-funded adoption center, while all dogs, puppies, and kittens thrive in loving foster homes. This unique model allows our animals to receive the socialization, exercise, and individual attention they need to prepare for life in their new homes.
Your Partner in Adoption
We are here to support you in creating a successful, lifelong bond with your new companion. We provide free, positive-reinforcement behavior and training classes for all adopted dogs in Eagle County to ensure a smooth transition. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are available to provide guidance and answer any questions you may have as you welcome a new pet into your family.
