Soul Dog Rescue
Our Mission
Soul Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating sustainable change through collaborative, targeted spay/neuter efforts and the rescue of animals in underserved regions.
Our Roots and Why We Serve
Founded in 2010 to address overpopulation and limited veterinary resources in the Four Corners area, we are driven by the belief that every animal deserves access to basic care. By providing free and donation-based sterilization and vaccination services on Tribal Lands, we work to promote healthier lives and foster a cultural shift in the treatment of our companion animals.
Our Care Model
We are a small rescue with a big heart, operating both a dedicated shelter in Fort Lupton, Colorado, and a robust foster network. Our animals arrive from diverse backgrounds, often requiring rehabilitation, patience, and love before they are ready for their forever homes. Whether in our shelter or with one of our compassionate foster families, each animal receives the care and support necessary to blossom into a confident, happy pet.
The Adopter Connection
When you adopt from Soul Dog, you are gaining a loyal partner and giving a deserving animal a beautiful second chance at life. We prioritize thoughtful matches by learning each pet’s unique personality, history, and needs. Our goal is to ensure that every adoption is a joyful, successful milestone for both the pet and your family.
Join Our Village
We invite you to be a part of our journey as we save more lives each day. Please explore our adoptable animals online or visit our Fort Lupton shelter to meet your new best friend. Together, we can continue to make a lasting difference, one animal at a time.

10/28 - Can you freaking believe this is the same incredibly shy and scared puppy from just a few weeks ago?!! Also, Pumpkin Patch will be on the local news tomorrow in his costume— I’ll be sure to share a clip! Happy Halloween week, friends!!! Please consider fostering a scared shelter puppy. They’re so resilient and often just need a warm, safe place to decompress and learn to trust and love humans. 🧡🐾 Pumpkin Patch (Kalenjin) will be available through @souldogrezcue after he’s neutered in November.

10/25 - 🚨 NAVAJO NATION FLOODING — BOOTS ON THE GROUND IN SHIPROCK! 🐾❤️ You can make a donation on our Facebook page or on our website - every dollar counts 💜💜. Devastating flooding across the Navajo Nation has damaged homes, washed out roads, and displaced families and their pets. They left blankets, food, and water, and we’ll be checking back tomorrow. ❤️ 🐾 SHIPROCK & SURROUNDING AREAS — HELP IS COMING! We’ll be delivering supplies Monday and Tuesday, helping trap and locate missing pets, feeding stranded animals, and dropping off crates and pet supplies at the Kirk’s Center. 📲 NEED HELP? 📲 Citas: 096 070 2724. 📍 Av.
