City of New Britain CT Animal Control
Providing Second Chances
At the New Britain Animal Control Unit, our mission is to provide compassionate care and support for animals in need while working diligently to reunite pets with their families or connect them with loving new homes. We are dedicated to maintaining the safety and well-being of our community and the animals that share it.
Our Commitment to Care
Serving the New Britain community, our team operates out of a dedicated animal facility where every pet receives personalized attention. We believe that every animal deserves a safe environment, which is why we place such a high priority on the care and health of the animals in our custody. Our facility is conveniently located at 642 Christian Lane in Berlin, tucked behind the New Britain recycling center.
The Adoption Process
Adoption is a wonderful journey, and we are here to ensure it is a positive experience for both you and your future companion. Before any dog is placed for adoption, they receive a thorough temperament evaluation to ensure a great match for their new home. Our staff works hard to get to know each animal's unique personality so we can help you find the perfect addition to your family.
Meet Your New Best Friend
We invite you to visit us during our open adoption hours, held every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can also view our currently available dogs through our listings on Petfinder or by following us on Facebook. We look forward to helping you find a loyal companion to share your life with. If you have any questions, please reach out to our team at 860-826-3095.
